Joining BodyTone has literally changed my life - I kid you not! From a woman who has never embraced exercise in any way, shape or form, I now look forward to my twice-weekly classes and the support from members and staff alike.
Coming out of a period of bereavement, following multiple losses, I felt very sorry for myself and as we all know, food is comfort. Mine was chocolate and to the extent that I piled on two stones in little under a year.
My wake up call was the scales asking me to step off! So, having been dissuaded by my husband (when he was alive) that I didn't need to join the gym as I was OK as I was), I took the plunge. Life changing it certainly has been. From day one, I was treated as being someone special. I had a full assessment and trial run of the motortone machines, spending in excess of an hour just chatting and trying out the equipment. It was great and I was sold!
I was given dietary advice, have regular reviews where I am weighed and measurements are taken to check on progress - purely my choice, I hasten to add, as there is absolutely no pressure to do anything if you don't want to. The classes are varied and fun and I am happy to report I have lost two stone and dropped two dress sizes; the measurements are decreasing as the toning continues.
I would not hesitate to recommend BodyTone, even if you just go for the initial taster session. I've never looked back, only forward - to a happy exercise marriage that lasts well in to the future.

I have been going to the gym for a few years now and I love it!
I suffer with osteoarthritis & had to have a hip replacement in my mid 40s. I am not very fit at all, so I was extremely nervous when I first joined, my nerves soon disappeared, everyone was so friendly, kind, supportive & very very helpful.
There is something for everyone, you can have one to one sessions, use the MotorTone machines and even take part in classes if you so wish.
You can discuss any worries you may have, the staff are there for you & to help you at all times. I joined on my own & was welcomed immediately. I actually look forward to going now (which is something I never thought I’d say!) & meeting up with everyone.
During these coronavirus times, I must say the gym is spotless & has taken everyone’s safety into consideration, with extra cleaning of equipment, social distancing & lots of hand sanitizers, I feel incredibly safe & relaxed there. I would highly recommend it.
I joined BodyTone in September 2019 and so far, I have lost 3.5 stone in just under a year! Unlike other gyms I joined in the past, BodyTone is the best gym I have been to! From the moment I joined the staff and members have supported and encouraged me to lose weight in the best way possible. The regular weigh-ins and personal training sessions have motivated me to keep on losing the weight as well as the classes which I thoroughly enjoy.
The biggest thing I have learnt is re-educating myself about food. All the staff made time for me and listened and advised me on what I should be eating.
I love the atmosphere here at the gym, it is very friendly – everybody knows you personally. As well as working out, it is a very sociable place to meet like-minded women, many of whom I now consider as friends.
I would definitely recommend this place to all the women out there who are feeling unhappy with who they are.
My only regret is not joining earlier!

My time at Body-Tone has been FUN!!
I have found everyone to be very supportive and friendly.
The classes are a right laugh, but also leave me feeling like I've accomplished a good workout.
So far my biggest achievement is joining in on the group classes which scared me previously!
I never realised how much I enjoy exercise until joining bodytone the staff and members make you feel so welcome and everybody is more than happy to help you I have never felt comfortable in other gyms but here you become part of a family and there is no judgement just everybody with their own stories and people to keep you going
My time at Body-Tone has been a challenge, but a well worth adventure.
I have noticed changes in my body, mental health has improved massively and that's all thanks to the help and support I have recieved from everyone at the gym.
So far I have achieved a 25lb loss! (whoop!!) And I intend to keep going!
